Can I feed drunk slugs to the birds?

Hi, I put a beer trap in the garden last night and this morning have caught a dozen or so slugs. The problem is that I'm now not sure what to do with them. Will they do any harm if I leave them out for the birds? I have a couple of particularly vocal blackbirds in the garden at the moment and would love to give them a treat, but will the beer-marinated slugs do them any harm?

alcohol in humans usually encourages em to sing- but never improves the quality !

Do the snails drink themselves to death, will they have that much alcohol in them to do any harm ?
I thought when snails went into beer traps they were supposed to die from drowning. i would'nt have thought any beer they had consumed would do that much harm to the birds.
You could put a bowl of water out as well, they tell us we should drink water to help get over the effects of the night before.
