Billy Connolly tickets for Glasgow/Edinburgh *sold out*

  • I managed to get some tickets yesterday using the link in the first post. I just came across it by chance because I was trying to find out what was going on with the Glasgow tickets. Anyway (trying to get to the point) I also used the link first thing this morning out of curiosity to see how many tickets were left and it looked as though Saturday was sold out apart from the odd seat here and there but there were still quite a lot of seats, about 30% ish, for the other nights from about row 15 back. So assuming that they haven't sold any tickets since then there is still hope for those still trying.

I'm sorry but my point is that the tickets should not have been on sale until today, so now those that expected to book today are not able to get decent tickets cos Usher Hall database cocked up.......heads should roll.
  • I heard it lol.
Wondering wether to go up to ripping records but realy wanted to go on the sunday. I'm back at uni on the tuesday and wednesday and god knows what my time table will be like

The website being down is nonsense. You can book any other event just fine.

I think its bad form that ticketsscotland had tickets and ripping records when website said online and phone only. Tickets have not been listed online today at all, though disappointed in myself that I didnt find the links on the tickets section of website over weekend when was looking. Didnt think to look at booking other event which would have taken you through to proper ticket booking listing!

She told me the booking an payment system was down!

To be fair I didnt pay them money, as will be boycotting them if I dont get Billy tickets, but up to that point worked fine.

Yeah, i tried it too, and got as far as putting payment card and details in, but it does say on website it has transaction problems, so it sounds like it would fail at that point.

Sorry just realised this point has already been made - please ignore.

Just a thought but although the message says "We are currently experiencing a comms problem which means we are unable to process transactions on line or on the phone. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause." it still looks as though it is still possible to book tickets for other shows. Out of curiosity I just tried to book tickets for Last Night at the Proms and although I didn't complete the transaction it certainly let me go right up to the point where you enter your card details.

    Something doesn't quite add up.
