    Well, this NORMAL lending criteria has been enough to stabilise prices. Up for 5 months in a row now.

    Come back at Christmas and we'll see how stable they are.

    I agree. Although the rates become less relevant when house prices themselves are more reasonable... which is precisely why people who've maxed out on huge loans to buy over-priced houses are vulnerable to even the smallest rate rises.
