Hi Guys,
I need a programme that lets me convert common movie formats (mpeg, mp4, DivX etc) to AVI,
needs to be able to convert to:
320X240
10-15 fps
jpeg compression
does anybody know if this is the best way of reducing file size, is another format better - any advie is appreciated.
cheers

Try Windows Media Encoder and use the PocketPC setting to make a WMV
In the United Kingdom 200,000 people are bitten by dogs every year and some people will die as a result. Of those bitten, 70% are children... So the question has to be asked....... Has the time come to ban children?0 -
I'm not sure why you want 10-15 fps. You are aware this won't be very watchable...?"Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0

just thought 10 - 15 fps would save on file space - will it be really bad? is 30 better.0

The eye detects 25fps (correct me if that's inaccurate). So 10-15 would be stuttery.
The best thing when encoding a video is to leave the fps alone. Change the resolution or video/audio encoding quality. Something like Gordian Knot will help you do this. You pick the size of the file you want output, obviously the smaller the size, the lower the video quality."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
30fps will ensure its watchable. 10-15fps will be like watching a tv whilst blinking.0

Sorry SiMaster, I just came across it whilst checking progs for my nokia 6600 which uses 3gpp format. I don't really have a big enough mem card to use it properly and my next phone uses a different card!
Good luck0 -
