iphone Ringtones

Hi,

Can anyone advise how i can put my own ringtones onto the new iphone 3gs. I understand that itunes allow you to make ringtones from songs bought from there but is there any way of doing this free from music already on my windows laptop?

Apple Support explains that you can "Choose Sounds > Ringtone" to set the ringtone, but doesn't elaborate on what you can use or how.

Fortunately, there appear to be plenty of guides out there that'll tell you exactly what you need to do. Like this one.

Apparently, this works pretty well too.

you can download already made ringtones and they'll go into the ringtones folder on iTunes, or you can upload your own mp3's and cut them into a ringtone.
