nintendo ds lite query

I am considering buying a nintendo ds console but I am a bit confused well very confused in fact because I know the new console came out in April (the Nintendo DSi console) but Argos (and indeed Amazon) are still selling the DS Lite and to be honest the price for the Lite does not seem to have reduced in price as I would have expected. So what is the difference ? and if I want to invest my hard earned cash, should I opt for the more expensive, newer version or simply buy the Lite?

The DSi has a camera, bigger screen and more media options. Games will eventually come out that will make use of the camera.Dave. :wave:0

on a side note, because it looses the GBA slot, you can't play GBA games or play gutiar hero for the ds.0

I have both DS and DSi.
If you are buying your first DS/DSi then i would go for the DSi. The larger and brighter screen and the camera are worth the extra outlay.
If you are upgrading then, it is a judgement call. Personally the extras are not, at the moment, worth paying for. When there are more software titles available then maybe.Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow..
