Exhaust for Ford Mondeo Mk1

Just wondering if there are any mechanics, or people in the know, out there who could give me an idea of price for replacing the rear silencer on my 1995 Mk1 Petrol manual Mondeo h/back 1.8 LX 16V.

Just noticed its hanging off (its gone right on the connection into the rear silencer). Is it likely that I can have just the silencer replaced or will I need a whole new exhaust, if so, how much is that likely to be aswell?

Any help much appreciated cos it can be a nightmare for the not too car savvy of us to make sure we're not getting ripped off by some rogue garage!

Im in the Manchester area aswell if that is likely to affect the price at all!

Whatever KwikFit & similar charge, expect it to be around 1/2 their price, if you get one from a car part /motor factors. Must be loads near you!!??

Assuming it all comes undone easily enough & is only the back box, not a hard DIY task.

so £50 ish I'd guess.
