Bosch Dishwasher

I have a Bosch dishwasher (sorry can't remember which make), but it has the buttons on the top of the door as opposed to the outside and it says limited edition.

Anyway, sometimes it gets right through the cycle without any problems and bleeps when it's finished. But other times it gets stuck on 1 minute and churns away until I notice and re-set it.

I've tried putting some white vinegar and bicarb in to flush it out and it does seem to be doing it less frequently - but it does still do it, has anyone got any other ideas??

All help gratefully received.

how old is it?is when it gets stuck,is it getting stuck on the same program or does it get stuck on different programs?
  • This site may be able to help you but you will need model number.

  • Thanks for your replies. The machine is only about 3 years old. I only use 2 programs (normal and intensive), but yes it does sometimes get stuck on both. But oddly enough, when I put vinegar and bicarb in, it finishes!! Perhaps I should keep doing it this way until the 'blockage' gets flushed out......

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I have had this machine until I replaced it last year. I had the exact same problem twice in the time I had the machine. The continuous 'one minute' in the timer window is in fact an error code. Possibly you need an engineer? Mine was completely clogged up with fat and gunk and a part had to be replaced.
    "...IT'S FRUITY!"
  • OH has had the side of the machine off, because we thought it was a blocked waste pipe. On the side of the machine is only what can be described as a very large 'cool pack' type thing (water tank) with lots of different compartments which the water flows through. One of these compartments had a float in it, which was completely caked in gunk!! We have managed to clear this out (eventually). It is sealed and therefore extremely difficult to reach.

At the end of the cycle IF the machine fills up this 'cool pack' reservoir on the side it will finish and bleep, if it doesn't fill up (or can't fill up) it will stay at 1 minute.

Has anyone got any ideas how to fix the problem - or should I just bite the bullet and call an engineer?

the pack u describe is the fill chamber ,it gets full of gunge/slime (food deposits)which is virtually impossible to remove as its all sealed.it might be a good idea to fone bosch & ask to speak to spares, they can tale you how much the part will cost, then fone sevice to see how much they charge for call out & labour (it should take the engineere approx 1hr - 1 1/2 hr to fit.)if not fit it yourself, but what i can remeber they abit of pain in the arsse to fit. or if you know of some sort gunge remover give that a go.it sound like its an intergrated m/c & at 3 years old is probly still worth repairing.
