Does bankruptcy have a big affect on getting a job?

See that really gets my goat up as why would they do that for that job. Its like saying we are going to see if you are trustworthy or not. As someone currently looking for work if a potential employer did that to me i would just not want to work for them as my BR has nothing to do with my work.

I agree. I mean if you have been made bankrupt you no longer have any debt!

It's not like we're going to steal all their paper clips and staplers.

Very true and if you had done something wrong that would show up in terms of a DRO or a fraud marker or criminal record. To me with someone with over 15 years senior management experience it just goes to show how stupid people who are in positions in Human Resources Positions really are mind they have done well to get themselves the fancy title as they use to be Personnel.

It wasn't even handling money or anything financial etc. It was about data protection processes - setting up new ones, tightening current ones etc. I've not gone through BR, but I did have a CCJ on my file until it dropped off last August and seeing the wording made me feel a bit 'odd'.
