I am looking for a phone upgrade shortly and I am looking for one which allows you to block texts (and calls too if possible). Some old Samsungs I owned in the past allowed you to do it but my current Sony Ericsson doesn't. Anyone know of any current phones which do this?

I've had some problems with some nasty texts/calls both to my mobile/landline. I have reported to the police due to the nature of them. Although they've recommended I change my home number now, they have said to phone my provider (Orange) and they should be able to block mobile numbers. (I also have a samsung, but have not worked out how I can ban the numbers myself from it). Maybe you could try ringing your network to get numbers banned?0

To Block numbers you best bet is to phone up your network provider and tell them. If i want to block numbers that is what i do.Peter: Hey Lois... what's this word? Lois: Evil. Peter: And this one? Lois: Knievel. Peter: And this one? Lois: Was. Peter: And this one? Lois: Born. Peter: And this one? Lois: In.
Peter: And this one? Lois: Montana. Peter: Ah... oh, hey Lois did you know Evil Knievel was born in Montana? Family Guy - I Take Thee, Quagmire 04x210 -

But on that you can easily unblock these? in which case if you were giving the phone to a child etc. then you dont want them to have a option of unblocking numbers. not saying that this is what freebiefan wants but just mentioningPeter: Hey Lois... what's this word? Thanks for all your replies.
Carrbit, do you have the Samsung Tocco or Tocco Ultra Edition? I read that the Tocco Ultra doesn't have this feature.
On previous Samsungs I have owned you had a blocked list in your message settings which you could simply add and take away numbers. its a feature which I think is good to have in case you don't want certain people texting you but you don't want to change the number!
Can anyone confirm if it is on the Tocco Ultra Edition please?0
