Does anyone know if you are covered when paying by pre-paid currency card such as Fiar FX just as when you pay for something by Credit Card when abroad.

The Fair FX card is more similar to a debit card and hence it does not seem you will have the protection provided by credit card. There is the possibility to dispute a transaction (you will be charged each item you dispute).0
