HiJack this

Hi all,

I suspect that my computer is harbouring a nasty some where that I just cant find! I have run malwarebytes and it found 1 infection and super anti spyware which found one or two.

I still cant update any of my programmes online, ie avg, and from looking for a solution online everyones seems to suggest downloading Hijack this and posting a log. I hope this isnt too cheeky but if someone has a spare moment could they possibly look at my log, which might I add is all greek to me!:o

Thanks :):D

ps i cannot post links as I am a new user so....have had to delete them from the log

you seem to have bits of Nortons running , if that is out of date and you are using AVG then you need to remove it

    run this removal tool

    http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Norton-Removal-Tool.shtml

then see if it can update

if you can then do updates then go to

    www.windowsupdate.com

as your version of Vista is out of date , you need to update to Service pack 1 and IE 8

    Thanks :)

@ Browntoa, when I run the updates, it causes my laptop to crash, I get sent to a tech guys page where the system hangs for ages and enters a cycle of endless updating and never getting anywhere. I ended up having to system restore and disable the auto updates for windows to prevent this happening
