US Dollar Banking

Hi I own some shares in a US company and would like to sell them and retain the money in dollars (as the exchange rate is unfavourable that way). I have seen the previous posts re Citibank and checked their website, but this does not provide what I want. Basically what I would like is a US Dollar current account, with debit card, cheque book, interest paying etc, eactly like my UK current account but with money in US dollars, and without a minimum £2000 balance. There must be something out there that meets this type of requirement, but I can't find it. Anyone know?

Not sure if there is any account that fits your needs. If the concern is that you do not want to leave a £2000 balance earning a low interest in a current account, one suggestion is that you speak to Citi and ask them to associate a Sterling savings account to the Dollar current account, and maintain the £2000 in the sterling savings account (a reasonable int rate of 4.5%)It's always the grass that suffers, irrespective of whether the elephants are fighting or making love !!!0
