HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -
Thanks for that.
However where on my Nokia do I need to go in order to compose the tune that I have been given the code for?0 -

I think what you're going to have to explain is:
1) On your Own Desktop or in My Documents, create a folder called 'Nokia Stuff' make sure you remember where it is.
2) Download and Install, even Update if possible Nokia PC Suite: http://www.nokia.co.uk/get-support-and-software/product-support/nokia-6230i it maybe a good idea to download the rest of the stuff as well in case it's needed at any point. At the very least you'll have a local copy of stuff in case you need it in the future and the site doesn't work.
3) Install the Nokia PC Suite
4) At some point (I've never used the Nokia PC Suite) within the confines of the program itself, there will be some mention of RingTones, or Media. You'll be offered the chance to upload media to the phone, you need to upload your chosen RingTone to the phone, then quite simply set it as a RingTone from the phones settings.
On page 29 of the Manual: http://nds1.nokia.com/phones/files/guides/Nokia_6230i_UG_en.pdf it says 'Settings\Tones'. So obviously under Settings, you can choose to allocate a particular 'Tone' to a particular caller. That's what you need to look out for.
It maybe that the phone accepts memory cards (MMC) and that one of the files to save to this card would be the chosen ringtone, you then point to it from within the phones settings for tones to ensure it's used at the time when that particular caller calls.
Hope that makes sense.
Good luck!It could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -
According to the manual, the 6230i can be used to browse the web, in which case the instructions on the Audiko web site should be sufficient:Go to m.audiko.net on your phone and enter the code WHGS0
