Comparing cards

in Credit cards
Hi
I have already quite a few different Credit Cards, and I have not been using any of them of late.
I should add that when I do use them, I pay off in full the balance but not always every month, what happens is I get a quarterly bonus from my employer and I use that to pay off credit cards, so when answering my question, please consider that I do incur some short term interest, but at the moment have no balance on any cards, all are paid off in full.
I have the following cards:
Barclaycard Platinum (Mastercard) - I think i got this as a replacement for a Cahoot card a while back, I have never used it.
Lloyds TSB Platinum (Mastercard) - used rarely the last few years
Marks and Spencer "& More" mastercard - again used rarely for the last 2 years
Halifax (Mastercard) - just arrived as a replacement for my old Amazon card. The Amazon card was the card that I have used a fair bit, paying off quarterly as explained.
so here are my questions.
All the comparison sites seem focussed on people making new applications, and many details given are "offer" details for new applicants,
So I hope the forum members can throw some light on this for me.
Thanks
G

- Which card is going to give me the best rate for short term financing?
- Which card is giving me the best benefits, especially when travelling overseas?
e.g. use of Airport Lounges, Insurance benefits etc, charges is used in an ATM abroad etc
- Which card (if any) is giving the most cashback or loyalty points for it's use

Which card is going to give me the best rate for short-term financing?
Have you been offered a special, promotional rate of any kind? [Eg. 0% on purchases for X months.] If so, that's the card I'd use at least for the duration of the promotion.
Otherwise, your standard rates (whatever those happen to be in your case) apply. These will be shown on your monthly statements. The card with the lowest APRs will be the least expensive.
Note: standard rates are not fixed, they're variable. Lenders reserve the right to raise the rates at any time.Which card (if any) is giving the most cashback or loyalty points for its use?People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0
