    Hey Colin,

It's a good idea when constructing a sentence to imagine that we're NOT sat beside you and know what you're waffling on about. I mean seriously, can anyone see any missing words 'is there any way I when I turn on my pc', good job this isn't an English lesson. We would be here all week! ;)

I think you need to goto your desktop, Right Click the IE icon, select Properties. If it's not there then start IE, click Tools, Internet Options - both lead to the same place, then click the Connections tab and that's where it will tell both IE\OE to connect automatically to your ADSL line. Move the little button to one of the other settings. Click Apply and Ok.

Why would you wish not to be online anyway? The whole point of an ADSL \ Cable line is that you're connected permanently to your computer.

    HTH
It could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.

    Don't be mean.....

Interesting fact!!! Did you know that 40% or more of AOL subscribers don't even have a computer???
It was on some documentary a while back, in America people were subscribing to AOL for the Virus protection in the flu season. No joke!

I try not to be, but I was in a game once and pointed out to some Italian guy how he was miss pronouncing his English. I got loads of flak from my fellow Countrymen, but he quite sincerely thanked me as it seemed nobody had told him anything before. He stated himself, nobody tell me, so I think I be doing ok. Seems he was trying in all good faith to do the right thing, everyone else just laughed at him. I meanwhile did the opposite. Or to put it another way:
    Little Sparrow

Once upon a time there was a non conforming sparrow who decided not to fly south for the winter.
However, soon the weather turned so cold that he reluctantly decided to fly south.
In a short time ice began to form on his wings and he fell to Earth in a barnyard, nearly frozen solid.

A cow passed by where he had fallen, and crapped on the little sparrow.

The sparrow thought it was the end, but the manure warmed him and defrosted his wings! Warm and happy, able to breath, he started to sing. Just then a large cat came by, and heard the chirping.
The cat cleared away the manure, found the chirping bird, and promptly ate him.

    The Moral of the Story:

Everyone who craps on you is not necessarily your enemy.

Everyone who gets you out of crap is not necessarily your friend.

And if you're warm and happy in a pile of crap, you might just want to keep your mouth shut

No hidden meanings :) well other than 'If you don't tell anyone, they'll never know, of course.

:rotfl::D Didn't know that, but I can only conclude it must have been due to the free disks they sent out, people would conclude it's just more marketting, but they're the only ones offering the service. So why not, still funny as heck though and made me laugh too. :rotfl:
