RTA Neck & Back Injury on duty. Anyone had any Luck with AFCS for these injuries.

Options
Having to re-trade as cant do normal job as back and neck wont stand up to the job. Also have severe intrusive tinnitus.

Still attending Headley Court, and Audiologist
RTA June 2008 while on duty.
Symptoms looks like here to stay hence Occupational health re-trade.
Also lose higher pay band when re-trade

What can I look to receive from them if and when they recognise I was on duty!
Was told I could claim MMA for travel from RAO/Welfare Officer so should be straight forward.

AFCS does cover a huge range of injuries... why do you say IF they recognise you were on duty?

    Some details for you

The AFCS provides compensation to Service personnel
for significant injuries or illness that arise during service,
but which do not lead to invaliding out of the Armed
Forces. In most cases, these are likely to be relatively
minor conditions in the lower part of the tariff (probably
below tariff 11) but this may not always be the case.

If you want to claim while still in-service, you must
submit a claim form within the specified time limits.
This is normally 5 years from the date of the incident
that caused the injury, or 5 years from the date you first
sought medical advice about an illness. Claim forms are
available from the VA (or their website) and Unit
Administration or Personnel offices. If you need help in
completing the claim form you can request assistance
    from your Divisional Officer,

I have put in all the paperwork as I broke my nose on Exersise.
They have made me an offer for this, I had an RTA in 2007 where I received a whiplash injury.
I told them the date of the 2nd RTA 27th June 2008 but they said I am not on duty and mentioned the RTA 2007 and the whiplash. I think they have got the date wrong so have now written back to the to have the case reviewed again.
My AO and doctor have said i was on duty on the form they sent out, and I also got the thumbs up for MMA from the RAO because I was off work due to Op on Nose and had to attend Hospital appointment where this RTA happened.

Hope they get the right date this time!

I Broke my nose skiing and had a Op in italy then 14 months later I had to have another Op 15 months later as was giving me trouble to breath, so had plastic Serg to reshape and clear nasal passage.

They offered me £1,115 for this i have also asked them to look at this again as i had to have another Op and re-brake due to the first not going well and the 15 months of pain and being downgraded.

They said they only take the first into account?
