Strange SKY problem

We are in France and have Freesat. Our Daughter is in Lincolnshire and has Sky. The other day, watching Channel 4 we kept loosing the signal, signal test showed good signal. So we thought it may be due to some clouds, there had been some thunder earlier in the day. However, we then rang our daughter for a chat and she had exactly the same problem and she lost and regained the signal at exactly the same seconds as us. She had clear skies! We later both watched the program on 4+1. No other channels were affected.
So what causes this?

If everyone had the same problem, presumably a transmission glitch on the Channel 4 uplink?

Channel 4 and it's related channels are always the first to start playing up when a thunder storm ect is about .

we had problems the other night too , it is probably a problem at the transmission source , as it was clear skys here when it happened .

We noticed the C4 problem too, on Wednesday evening I think.

What struck me as strange was that we straight away switched to C4+1 which was fine.
