Not sure if this is the best place to post but I have a shedload of old skool dance cd singles - can anyone advise of the best place for me to sell these? And should they be sold in bulk or in singles?

Any help would be fab :D

If it was me i would check there price on Amazon and sell any that might be worth more than £1 there. All the rest i would do a bulk lot on Ebay.

Personally I would have a look on eBay and search for similar items to your CD and see what the end price has been on auctions of a similar type. That should give you some idea of what you'll get for your auctions, because its a particular genre perhaps selling in bulk would be a better idea, or in packs of 3's etc. for example by artist and so on...this way you're likely to get maxium returns as I don't think most people will go to buy a single CD on the internet because postage costs make them dearer than the CD in the shops.

Packaging them up together could attract DJ's etc. or music enthusiasts who may want to add to their collection..

    Hope that helps.

I have sold CD singles in bulk before (I made up batches according to artist or genre). I don't list them singly because they are not that desirable and the fees will wipe out any profit. The only time I have listed one CD single is if it's got videos etc on it and is collectable.
  • do they appear on amazons data base? at least they are free till sold there

I ended up with a bulk lot of singles recently and they were all on amazon. But as they were all chart singles from the last few years they were all listed as 1p and i couldn't be bothered with them.
  • I would sell them together as a job lot, or in several lots if you have hundreds of them, except any rare / collectable ones. Most individual CD singles won't sell on eBay because they're worth less than p&p costs, but a bargain bundle should appeal to DJs.
  • Thanks all for your help - I will have a sort through what I've got and try and list them in bulk :D
