Teeny Tiny Tiling Job

Hello,

I've read through the other discussions on tiling but I'm finding them very difficult to relate to as I want such a small job done. I just want the floor of my shower room tiled and having just worked out the measurements its only 0.3 metres squared. (Seriously, you cant even extend your arms the width of it!!)

Anyway I have someone coming to give me a quote on Monday and i just wanted to be a bit prepared with the average costs involved so any advice would be much appreciated.

Oh yes, I am in Edinburgh and don't have tiles - wasnt sure whether to ask tiler to quote for providing and doing it all or whether it would be cheaper for me to provide tiles? (I just want bog standard matt white tiles)

A job like yours cant be done on a meter rate due to the small size, so would be priced on a day/s labour

I cant see it taking more than 8 hrs work inc prep work to floor, plywood or hardibacker base, Rapidset flexiable adhesive and grout

Would think the job would have a value of between £160-£200 inc materials

This is the price i would charge being based in Edinburgh

It must be more than 0.3m sqaured!
otherwise thats not much more than a single floor tile!
