Chocolate coloured bridesmaids dresses

  • I was thinking gold but if it is too shiny it maybe a bit blingtastic - i think i'd be happier with a satin finish. similar to the dress material.

My bridesmaids are a bit of a nightmare to be honest - much to my frustration - and seem to be quite particular about their shoes. So I am thinking I will buy them so cheapish pretty ones to wear down the aisle and then for photos and then they can put on whatever they want for the evening reception. I just have visions of ugly shoes when it matters (i.e when focus should be on the groom and me not bein distracted by shoes!)

Argh - I'm starting to wish I'd never bothered with bridesmaids!
I miss using my infinite coupons at Tesco!
2010 was the worst year ever :(
But 2011 so far has been a lot of fun! :j

i feel so lucky all my bridesmaids are so excited about being bridesmaids they dont care what I put them in lol

most of the shoes I saw today were satin, and not bling tastic lol (except for a pair I tried on for me not shiny but had stones inlaid in the heel that I would have done anything to own, but they were too high and too many pennies lol)
I did find one shop (just a random one) that had loads of nice shoes that were between £10 and £15, might be worth looking for something like that?
    Married on 5th March 2010
still lurking on the wedding board tho :rotfl:
  • i think shoes that are £10-£15 are totally exceptable for shoes that i reckon will be worn for about 2 hours!

My bridesmaids are being a chore at the moment - it seems they are being inconvenienced! It's starting to grate a bit but I'm fed up with it - they are just going to have what I find. I'm trying to be nice and choose things they will like but in the end this isn't high fashion its a wedding and that means formal dresses!

  • Style shake might be worth a look...I am thinking of using them for my bm dresses. You design the dress from scratch so can choose neck line, length, colour etc. I just had a play around on it and made this one. Comes out at a good price too :money:

Hope the pic works, never added one before!

  • I've actually been looking at styleshake - concerned about the quality to be honest - looking at some of the pics they don't fit so good.
