It was a £200 000 house with a £40 000 deposit, I've not managed to get a value taken yet as I imagine it's gone down but I would hope not by £40 000 :eek:
I'm so greatful for your responses, unfortunetly I'm not a "going out and meeting people" kinda person and since splitting up I've been solely on my own worrying - It's nice to have some friendly people advicing me - I'm extremely greatful.0 -

Dont worry to much about what her solicitors letters say aswell, they are working for your ex and without court orders to back them up are worthless. These letters will come on strong and try to intimidate you, just pass them on to the person you choose to represent you.
If you do move out of the property use the royal mail service that redirects your mail to your new address so that nothing important doesnt reach you.

Good advice. Also, although it costs more, doing it for a year is often worth considering as there are sometimes things that only crop up once a year (like christmas and tax returns!) which may get missed if you only do it for three months. You might think you have notified everyone but sod's law says something will get missed.I'm a retired employment solicitor.
