Wireless-n PCI card recommendation wanted

My pc has a Dynamode wireless-n card fitted but will only connect to my router at 135-150Mbps. I thought this was because I've set the router to allow g/n connections as not all my PCs are n capable. However I've just had a friend's laptop here and this connects at 300Mbps so the issue appears to lie with my card.
Can anyone recommend a PCI card that they know from experience to reliably connect at 300Mbps? I've got the latest drivers (as far as I know) installed for the card and my router is a FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7270.
Oh, and preferably not too pricy.

If your only getting 135-150 your wireless card is only running in a single channel mode.
TBH in the intrest of moneysaving I wouldn't bother getting anything new you'll NEVER EVER get a true reliable 300BMbps over a wireless connection. even at a reported 300mbps transfer rates are only at about 70-80mbps for me. and 50-60mbps for a reported 150mbps connection.
its not worth the hassle really... esp for a home network where the most of the traffic is internet anyway.0 -

Thanks Rob. I've been into the properties in device manager and can't see any way to change from single channel mode.
I have a couple of NAS boxes (wired) and the file transfer speed of large files was quite noticable when transfering on the laptop compared to the PC."A nation of plenty so concerned with gain" - Isley Brothers - Harvest for the World0 -
oh the other issue is that the wireless-n spec hasn't been ratified yet, so its possible that some hardware ins't completely compatiable with each other, (esp for mimo) so its probably best to stick to the same brand as your router/access point if you do plan to get a new card. laptops tend to have bigger aerials too so an extended aerial will help.
If your constantly transfering stuff between the nas and your computer tho, the best is to run a proper network cable, and if your budget streches a gigabit switch/router.0
