Part of the Furniture
Hi,
I am going on a Villa holiday in August and the place has a playstation 2 provided. Apparently mainly to play DVD's?

I know NOTHING about games consoles, it apparently has 1 controller but no games or memory cards. I would much appreciate some answers to the following questions

I would like to maybe take some cheap games for a 4 and a 6 year old to play (1) does it need cartridges or DVD disks with games on?

(2) I assume the memory card is for saving games? (3) will games still run without a memory card? as I am not bothered about game saving.

(4) as a DVD player are they region free?

(5) any other advice?!!!

Thank you.

Theyre dvd based games, you buy them at any shop selling preowned games like game, gamestation and blockbuster

yes they will, you will just have to start from the beginning from the start every time you turned the console off or switched the game

no they are not, but if the villa is advertising in English, or is an English owned time share villa then i would have thought that it would be a British console but you will have to ask.

Great response! Just had a thought! I might ask a few of their school friends parents to lend us a couple of tried and tested games. Sure some will have PS2.

    Thanks again.
