Parking Ticket

On 29th of March 09 we dropped my 70 year old mother and 82 year old disabled father (who has a diabled badge) at Princess Court in Queens Way, London. We were there for 2/3 minutes and once they got out of the car we turned around and left. We went back again around 8pm to pick them up.
Two months later (29th May 09) we received a fine from Retail Parking Solutions Ltd for non display of ticket.
Their evidence was a digital picture of the rear of our car which was taken at an angle where you can hardly see the registration No.
We wrote to them and explained the situation and asked them to cancel the ticket.
Now a month later they have written deniying our appeal and saying that we did not display a valid ticket, this is a private road and our car was stopped there for a prolonged time within their premises.
This is side road where you have to go in, in order to get to Princess Cour. There is parking for the flats and on the left hand side pay and display parking meters. We stopped on the right hand side where the entrance to the flats was because of my father being unable to walk more than a few yards.
Now we need to know what is the time limit for issuing a ticket? Is two months an acceptable time frame? Can they just clamp our car without taking us to court? How do we legally appeal against this false accusation.
Also do they have to have proof of our being there for a prolonged period of time.
We have to pay within seven days from 30th of June otherwise the fine goes upto £150.
Can you please help us.
Thank you:mad:

Ignore all further correspondence from them. Do not reply. There is no appeal process. They are purely in the business of extracting money from mugs who are easily intimidated into paying up. Others will be along shortly to tell you the same.0

OP, just read some of the other threads about private parking companies. You've not been fined. As molerat says, file the invoice away and ignore.0
