barclaycard credit limit

I have just been accepted online for a barclaycard 6.3% interest card as promoted on this site :beer: and wondered what experiences people have of getting the full amount you require to balance transfer.

I would like to transfeer £5k and indicated this in the application but when I phoned to enquire I was told that I would find out my credit limit when the card arrives and I send back a letter confirming that I will accept the card. has anyone been successful in getting the full amount?

I am wondering whether to hedge my bets and apply for another one just incase they offer me a really low amount. the reason for wanting to change is the end of 0% on a capital 1 card and now being charged 22% interest :eek:

I applied yesterday to Barclaycard 6.3% and when doing application only requested a small balance transfer (just under £1000), but did not get decision on line, message came up to say more details were needed. I called them last night and told me I had been accepted and that my credit limit would be £6,600!!!!
If you call again, they should be able to tell you how much limit they will give you.

I agree, they always tell you over the phone and also the APR......
