full time student not entitled to anything in summer if partner on jsa?

Thanks, as my partner gets £94 weekly it sounds like we are on the correct amount, bar about 6 quid!
I enquired about the summer hardship fund but decided to leave it as i don't want to be in any more debt. Will just have to tighten our belts a bit more over the summer;)0 -

It seems that the student loan DOESN'T cover over the summer vacation so you should be able to get more money.
(This is what the job centre and processing department have said... I rang up to check as it seemed strange!)
Student funding is paid to cover you during the summer - that's why there is a reduced amount in the last year. HOWEVER, for benefits purposes, student income is only included for the 42-45 weeks of the academic year and not over the summer vacation.
If you are a student and do not work and have a partner who is also out of work, you can be included on their income-based JSA claim.0
