Hi just wondering if anyone else who has virginmedia is having the same problem
Heres the problem, the 55mb of freeweb space you get with them,
I open my ftp program flashfxp and click on HOMEPAGE which is setup and is working that logs me in to my homepage at virginmedia i can see all the files I have uploaded.
now if i try to upload, delete, rename any of them I get a permission 550
I've phoned and emailed and told of my problem, 3months and its still not fixed, its on there end. I've been told that everyone's homepage is affected, my nephew was suppose to test his to see if he can upload etc, but he hasn't done the test.
When i orinigally told them about the problem they sent an email telling me it would be fixed in 3 weeks, it hasnt, i just tried again today and still permission 550,
3 phone calls, 3 emails to their tech.
Funny this permission 550 only started after I signed up for their online billing, i no longer receive the bill in the post.
I'm wondering whether they are phobbing my off by telling everyone is affected.
So if you have virginmedia amd are using your homepage, please could you tell me if you are getting the permission 550 error when you upload.
if you didnt know about the space and want to try it and you had ntlworld before they changed the name its this
upload.ntlworld.com
your username and password, and port21 default.
if you recently signed up it couldbe upload.virginmedia.com
