Anyone dealt with A & L for reclaiming Bank Charges?

Are they fast?
Do they share their customer services with Abbey?
Total Reclaimed from banks and credit cards so far: £14139 :T

    No, they're as per most of them, a nightmare.

    Plus, if you still use your account, prepare to have to move it. They have a habit of closing accounts.

    That's not correct......

    I think I should know better than you. Seeing as they actually closed my account for reclaiming my charges from them.

    That quote is from the FSA Waiver on Bank Charges. It's on my signature. Quite a few banks got into trouble for closing accounts of people who reclaimed charges. A&L were one of them. If they do close the account then you can complain to the FOS on the basis of retaliatory action. A number of A&L customers did and got compensation at that time as a result.
