    forgot to mention on yesterdays post;
i went into tonys textiles (not sure if this is a regional shop or nationwide?) and got some gorg pink flocked wrapping paper which isnt exactly christmas themed but could be with ribbons and bows and really thick too.
it was marked £4 on it but they were selling it for 50p per roll. i was buying 2 and only had a £20 note and 50p in change, they couldnt change my 20 so gave me both rolls for 50p!!! saving me £7.50!!

there was a woman in there buying loads to decorate her daughters room with! it was thick enough to do it!

Wow, that's pretty awesome! Big savings too! Dont recognise the shop name, though, so maybe just regional?
  • just put all the gardening things in the hamper to see if it's enough - and it is !!!!! (including the 2 99p items i got today at the garden centre)
went to dunelm today and got brown flannels for reindeer (99p) and beige ones and white ones for lager pints (99p for 3).
Got MICROFIBRE TOWEL for DH for 99p reduced from 2.99. Also got my mum a microfibre face cloth in a little pouch for 49p from 99p. Got a china father xmas plate for 99p too for xmas eve hamper. bought some sellotape too!!!
Lots of xmas stuff now in dunelm. Reasonable wicker baskets (lined and un-lined) too

Have lost my xmas book where i note down what i've bought and how much it was. Feel like i've lost my right arm!!

Did you get the microfibre towel & facecloth in Dunelm too? :T

I got two (huge!!) rolls of wrapping paper in Next t'other day for £4 with a free box of bows/ribbons etc (worth £2) so I have wrapped all the pressies I have at the minute - not looking forward to wrapping the rest when I get them!!! Mum + sis's pink smellies 'hamper-in-a-bag' isnt working though - cant get everything to sit right
Also I ran out of curly silver ribbon so I got some out of Tesco's normal gift wrap range today - it said 99p on the shelf tag but when I got it to the till it scanned as 38p - bargain!!

Oh I could do with the help of you fabulous people :A! I have a couple to buy for and they are huge golf lovers however everything to do with golf seems to be wildly expensive. I was hoping to make a golf themed hamper for around £30 and hoped some of you would have some inspirational suggestions:D.
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!
  • Can I just ask where did you all buy the cellophane for your hampers?

I asked at a local florist & they quoted me £15 for a small roll, I thought this was rather expensive as I really only want it to do a dvd hamper for DS.

I'd try asking around at other florists as people are saying they're being quoted different things by people. Also try Hobbycraft or other craft shops, or eBay

    ok..next lot done

as an avon rep i can do some 'creative ordering' say if there is a deal where you spend 20 pounds on a certian range and get a free gift worth x amount...if one customer spends 15 and another spends 5 then obviously THEY dont qualify but in my order I do...SO thats what happened this time and i have an anti ageing beauty bag worth about £30 for nothing. mum sorted

thats what im doing with the bag out of sale book as customer hasnt ordered it im going to for my friend's x-mas present. thanks for that idea i never thought of doing it like that, like the sound of "creative ordering":rotfl:
