please feel free to flame me and tell me to search the forum (which i have) for this question if they answer is easily findable (i have searched, but i'm having a bit of a "i'm thick" moment).
basically i've been playing around with my wireless security settings. i changed security to wpa-psk and restricted access to listed mac numbers.
before i changed the settings, whenever i turned on the computer, the wireless would connect without any problems.
now, when i turn on the computer the wireless won't connect, after a few minutes i get the "limited / no connectivity" pop up. i press the "repair" button and the network is eventually found.
is there any way of the network to connect on log on?
merci in advance.

which router?
if you right click on your wireless icon (bottom right), view available networks, advanced, wireless networks, is your ssid listed as a preferred network (automatic),
if not click on properties, connection, connect when in range.
also on the advanced tab, check access point infrastructure networks only.
if you are flipping between a wired and wireless connection, or have them both connected at the same time, then a
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
might help, otherwise it will try and connect both of them at the same time..
if that doesn't work, try disabling the mac address filtering, if it still doesn't work, try a different key..
