Me too! Trying to hold off trying until we're debt free but I'm so broody it's unreal.
Congratulations Roversbabe - I hope you stick around and keep giving excellent advice. I found your post about your debts a couple of pages back really honest and I could really relate to it - thank you so much.
I'd love to have a new wee one to knit for - do you know what sex the baby is and I'll get my needles a clacking?! :rotfl:

Thanks SS - I'm glad you liked my post and I'll do what I can with advice
I'm having a boy (according to the scan) and am really excited about it - Spending more than I should on stuff for him. Roversbloke won't let me buy any clothes yet as we don't know how big he'll be. My sister's last baby was over 9lb and was in 3-6 months clothes within a few weeks. I can't resist picking up wee clothes though, I just have to put them back.moozie wrote:Thank you for sharing your very inspiring story! Thanks Moozie - I was a bit nervous about posting the full story at first but I just hope it can help someone else who's in the position that I was.
I couldn't have timed it better really, I'll just have to watch the spending when baby arrives.
Thanks again all - I'm really touched by the kind messages I've received.

Congrats roversbabe  (alcohol free of course!)
You timed it beautifully as far as roversbaby goes. I'm quietly getting more broody too (maybe because little miss fairylights is all independent now ... only 15 months!) but am trying to fight it. My one top tip for moneysaving baby style is use little bits of fleece/flannel cut up to clean baby instead of cotton wool. They go just as well in water, they don't disintegrate like cotton wool and you can slap them in the laundry (we have cloth nappies too, which helps) to wash them. Cheap, easy, environmentally friendly, and since you'll be washing ALL the time with a tiny baby, you don't notice a few cloth wipes!
Good luck with the coming months!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 002 :rotfl:0
