As you'll have seen Microsoft are allowing pre-orders of Windows 7 Home Edition for a very reasonable £49 later this month. Looking at their website it explains that these orders will be able to be placed with "participating retailers" - one of which it lists as Littlewoods.
For those who don't yet have a Littlewoods account (me included) I've seen elsewhere on these forums that there are voucher codes for £30 off £60 on your first purchase - not to mention 8% cashback on Quidco. So - it should be possible to order something else for £11 at the same time as placing the pre-order and end up with Microsofts latest OS for £20! Rude not to really...
(let's hope that the codes are still active come 15th July)

Nice list m00head. Some of them seem to be out of stock already (Amazon & ebuyer).
Only took 1 1/2 days for Japan to sell out of their pre-order stock!0 -
Anyone have any expierence of pre-ordering from Play.com and Amazon?
Ordered one Windows 7 Home from Play.com first, but then they came back into stock at Amazon so ordered one from there, just wondering whether to cancel Play.com order or hedge my bets and see if one or both deliver in October.0 -
dont know about littlewoods but the best saving appears to be Quidco > Staples. 4% cashback vs 0.5% for most of the others. And Staples accepts Amex (with no penalty) for extra cashback...
EDIT: forget that, it is £45 from Amazon if you can get it in time!0 -
If it's available for pre-order at Amazon from today till the 9th August then why won't they accept my order? Surely they'd want to take as many orders as they can!0

Littlewoods aren't even offering it as promised by Microsoft so the codes won't be any good then.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

the retailers only have a limited amount of pre-orders, so they cant take every order =( ... well except microsoft who could up the quota but its unlikley0 -
