Morning All

Its Fridayyyyyyyy - whoop becuase OH is down again tonight and we are off to Bristol tomorrow (via wimbledon parkrun
) and staying a nice hotel with a swimming pool and spa = mmmmmmm and we have the party for my sisters wedding which should be lovely - my granny made the cake and it looks ace!!
Am seriously enjoying my running rest day though - got a sore toe joint this morning, its funny I forgot about the aches and pains when I was resting
Toto I hope you get the visa sorted today!!!
Am trying to work out 'record for all' today for our podcasting suite in the other building...its pretty easy but dull learning new software!!!
Have a good Friday all!0 -

Pooky, thanks I wanted something short and sweet and Oli fit the bill
So cute that you have an Oli too. He slept on my bed all night and he has been ruunning around the house all morning
I think he hasa settled in. Thomas is ok with him. Last night he tried to attack him but today they sat together on the stairs. He still isnt 100% but he is coming around
Toto, I hope things are sorted for you. I will be thinking of you :A
Louise, :wall: at your OH, what a numpty :rotfl:

morning all - sorry i didn't get on to post lat night.... looks like i missed some updates...
pap, you get cat?
Snags, what was up with Mr Sunday?
what else did i miss??
Still no news on house, dropped off references, bank statements etc. Agent said someone else was viewing today, so option of looking to pay less than £550 is not so good. I said well i'd rather not lose out for the sake of bargaining, so if required would just pay £550.... so do not need to be staying here at home for too long, Big G is constantly looking to discuss random details in the passing snatched conversations, but personally i'd rather sit down and do it properly and get it planned... but can't do that til i know what's happening.
I'm gonna sit down with Erin tonight and let her know what's going on... at least this way i'm around all weekend to deal with the fallout.... anyone got any advice on that score...?
ho hum....I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

Bummer about the other viewing - is there no other suitable property in your area? I still can't quite believe he hasn't relented on that front yet...
Can't help with Erin. I was 24 when my parents separated (they did get back together a year or so after). Once I got over the shock I think I was just glad they were being honest with me and with each other...26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

The other viewing might go in your favour maz, if the other people think it's shabby too they will either refuse it or offer less too. Might drive your point home a bit. of course they might like it and offer the full rent but wait and see.
As for erin, just be as honest as you can, ok telling her that daddy is a miserable selfish git might not go down too well, so scrap that advice and lie through your teeth :rotfl::A

Good luck with the house Maz, my DS was much younger too so not much help here but just reassure her that she can still see her dad and just cos you aren't together doesn't mean she's can't phone him whenever she likes. If you get somewhere close by this should help cos she won't have so much change to take in at once, obviously the ideal would be for the big B to move out but still...Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Maz - Lots of reassurance seems to work with kids as well as clear details, play up the new bedroom, all kids love the thought of that and give her a sense of responsibility, something along the lines of, when we move to the new house I'm going to need you to help me with xyz, something specific that you know she'll feel grown up helping with.
Might be worth waiting until you've got a clear answer on the house and have sorted out with Big G details for access etc.
Good luck with it, kids are great tho, they do tend to just carry on regardless and get on with it."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Thanks guys... this won't really come as a great surprise to her as she knew and often commented in her own way on how we never did stuff...
i just don't want to paint him in a bad light, although it will be difficult... I'm going to try to dwell on the positives like her getting to spend times with him doing proper fun stuff etc....
and hopefully having a purple bedroom!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0
