Wanadoo/freeserve connection problems

I have just spent a very frustrating 48 hours with my wanadoo anytime connection, the line was continually engaged. I tried wandoo 50p per minute helpline who suggested I download the "connection kit", but I couldn't get online to download it!
Wanadoo kindly supplied me with a payg number which connected instantly, but I still couldn't download the connection kit.
Several 50p per min phonecalls gave me a list of anytime numbers which all continued to be engaged, and various suggestions for downloading the connection kit.
Eventually I sent an angry email suggesting I might take my custom elsewhere if all they could offer me was a payg service.
Would you believe that my dial up account started working again within an hour of this email being sent?
Is this coincidence or did my few angry words hit home?
