No pay for 5 weeks..do i have to pay my CCJ?

Hi everyone,

The company i work for has made many people redundant and thankfully i wasnt one but they have changed my pay from weekly to monthly and i am a week in to 5 weeks without pay ( they did offer us a loan but we had to pay it back out of next months wages so seemed pointless ) and my question is about my CCJ i pay weekly from my wages, if i dont get paid for 5 weeks do i have to pay the £15 a week still? someone said thy will take it from my last weeks pay this week and again from my pay at the end of july so ill be paying it even tho i havnt actually got paid for this month ( the pay i get end of july will be for augs bills )

Do i have to tell the court i wont be getting pay for 5 weeks? totally confused and worried even when i do get paid again ill have no money to feed myself and pay my bills!

Thanks for any help and adice you can offer:rolleyes:

I would advise you phone the court and explain that you have gone from weekly to monthly. I am sure they can do something to accomodate your situation. After all i don't think you are the first person this has happened to. I wouldn't mention the fact you were offered a loan because they would probably say you should have taken it to pay the ccj.
  • You are still getting paid the same so yes

You need to take out the loan and also speak to your creditors and ask them to reaarange bill dates.

Using this an excuse to get out of paying is nothing but an excuse.

Have you approached your payroll department to check on when you will get paid??

How much notice did they give you before putting you on monthly pay? Were you offered help in the intervening period (ie a loan)?
