Sorry if sounds trivial (or selfish) but help needed with 'You Tube'

Know lots on here is relevant to real problems with crashed/lost stuff/viruses & serious problems but if anyone can help would be grateful (and apologies if trivial).


Used to have really good collection of sentimental & great stuff from 'You Tube' - would just google name/part name/words in song & stuff would come up on Goggle including things on You Tube - would play and at the top of the video playing (on You Tube) would get automatic options to save etc. so just clicked 'save' & built up sentimental personal collection of videos and also saved some of the things in sep. ordinary folder of short cuts to favourite/special things etc.

Laptop crashed relatively recently and although some personal folders were retrieved this one had gone - have not had much chance to try to rebuild my collection until now.

Have just started googling the things i had on there but although I can find and play them on You Tube, no automatic option comes up to save them to a collection plus can not see any other way to save them via any other means although used to be able to save as normal/easily before to normal folders etc.

Know is not of great importance in 'the great scheme of things' but would love to get my things of sentimental value back - most are things I can not find/listen to anywhere else. Also had things that were not just music - some were just interesting audios/videos such as storms put to music.

Don't know if it is something missing from my laptop, something that has changed on You Tube, some law that has changed or maybe even a trial i had that didn't know about - any answers gratefully received!

I have an add-on for Firefox called DownloadHelper that provides a link to download YouTube videos (and a lot of other content on other websites).
