Neighbour is changing hedge to fence, what can I do?

    You could tell him that you believe the hedge to be yours and that he has to prove it isn't before he touches it.

    I think if he brings it up again, say something along those lines and also mention that he has to get permission from the council to do it.

    DH says chances are he is going to spend the money for the fence on beer anyway, lol.

    FInd out which boundary you are responsible for, that makes a lot of difference to this conversation.

    As a rule of thumb as you look out the back of your property you are generally responsible for the right hand boundary, but this does differ from property to property.

    Stick some tressis up on your side of the fence and grow a big jasmine bush up it.
