About time been a long term saver with them but current 60+ postsave only paying 2.25.% A lot of bonds that were 6-7% last year now maturing Could be that the Newcasttle BS offering 5% hopefully will result in a lot more offerings about this % rather than the very few accounts that were just scraping in at under 4%.
Not holding out a lot of hope that it will be a 5%+ account

Both paying 3.25% and the first one is instant access so will be moving money into this but really need to be at least .5% higher. They would then probablely be no withdrawals allowed for fixed term.
Nulabour has decemated returns for pensioners who depend upon savings income, why should we be supporting cheap mortgages! The people who have actually been prudent suffer whilst 'prundence Gordon' leads us further into the financial mire- we will all be suffering from inflation/taxes this time next year when hes drawing his inflated and inflation proof pension. Rant over

I want instant access so it will have to be the first one, but not sure about the first year fixed rate. Rates seem to be on the rise!

One to bear in mind but as you say the 3.2% is FIXED for a year although it`s "instant access".
The "experts" seem to think BoE rates will stay the same to the end of the year but go up rapidly in 2010.
    Who knows?
Another to bear in mind is Skipton`s Fixed to end of Feb 2010 paying 3.85% gross.
Might just be the right period!
