How do i host a web page?

hey Guys,

i need some info on how to host a website what do i need, recomendations for who to go with, what sort of things i should consider.

i want to set a site up that can show mpegs.

any advice will be appreciated.

I'd concentrate on a hosting solution that's more orientated towards cheaper storage than features if you want to host your pirate movies and stuff. Also a host that doesn't really mind what you host might help

If you want to show Mpegs, the main thing you should be looking at is the Bandwidth you will use, I used Streamline.net for a site I used to have for showing movie trailers.
It cost about £45 per year (unlimited user) and had unlimited bandwidth and webspace, which I think you will find is a good price.

I use https://www.fasthosts.co.uk, they've got some cheap home packages and are linked to cheap domain name service, so you can buy a domain name for something liek £5 for 2 years too. Good customer service too (use saynoto0870 though).
