Forestry commission gave me a ticket

Its the Forestry Commission and just five pounds. I have to say I would just pay it.0

Up here, FC don't target car parks regularly and there are very few that charge anyway. Most folk don't bother.
However, the last time I had a run-in with a team who were checking/issunig tickets, they advised me that I had to pay if I intended to be there for more than a few minutes, so I went up to the machine and found it crammed with money - I pressed the return button so I could get my coin in and was rewarded with several pounds of small change for my (IIRC) 50p ticket. Good-un!
However, for that penalty, I'd agree that it might not be worth the effort of fighting.
There is however another issue round here with estate management groups making charges for parking in car parks that have been established with public funding with the intention of being free. If you read the smallest print on the signs, you usually find that any charge is actually voluntary and they can't do a thing anyway.0 -
Are there pictures of these signs ?0

I'll take one the next time I get a trip to the hills.

It depends on how much you value your time to deal with this! A fiver to be done with it today seems worthwhile purely on grounds of the time you will have to devote to appealing the charge.0
