FIX this using hijack ~
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [BVRPLiveUpdate] C:\Program Files\Avanquest update\Engine\Setup.exe -s /PATCH,/SRCUPDATEC:\PROGRA~2\SONYER~1\SONYER~1\LIVEUP~1\LI STOF~1.DAT
Please run COMBOFIX
Follow the simple instructions it gives
Post the COMPLETE log it creates here (Split into sections if need be)
If it comes up with a RENAMING error then RIGHT click the exe file and RENAME and call it QWERTY (Making the complete file name 'QWERTY.exe') Or SAVE as 'QWERTY' on download:idea:0 -

I feel like a real idiot, but I can't see how to turn these things off? I've been to Windows Security Centre and that shows me that we have 2 firewalls running (Windows and Nortons), I don't know where Nortons has come from, unless it was on the laptop originally? But that's usually just for a trial isn't it? It also says that Windows Defender and AVG Malware are both running.
Having said that, the laptop is running really well now, much more responsive and much faster.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

Use the Norton removal tool
http://service1.symantec.com/Support/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039
Goto add/remove programs and see if AVG 7 is there and remove it if it is:idea:0
