hi there
Being a newbie to this im just looking for some advice. about 4/5 years ago I successfully reclaimed £2500 in bank charges with the clydesdale bank, I now want to reclaim the PPI on several loans that I had with the royal bank of scotland and the clydesdale bank but Im concerned as these loans were taken out around 6-7 years ago, does that matter? can I still claim?
Also, Im in Scotland and i entered into a trust deed as my debt got on top of me, it is now finished but 1 of the loans and 1 of the credit cards were included in the trust deed, would I be able to claim the PPI on those?
Hope this make sense

Hi there mhairi and welcome.;)
If you were mis sold for any reason then give it a go, it should not make any difference at all in regards of the trust deed, because if mis sold you have been out of pocket due to this.
Do you still have any of the paperwork? The one and only "Dizzy Di"

im not sure if i have the paperwork or not, going to have a look up the loft tomorrow!! does it matter if I dont? as when I reclaimed all the bank charges I had no paperwork and I requested copies of all the statements, which I got then claimed the huge amount.
Is PPI always sold with loans etc? when you say mis-sold, what exactly do you mean, do you mean that they didnt explain it correctly or is it just not needed and an extra way for the banks to get money out of you.

Hi hun
It should not really matter if you have the paperwork as such really, but in case you want to take this further to the finanical ombudsman service (FOS) for evidence that you had PPI etc, but I'm sure once you try to reclaim the business your reclaiming from may even enclose the copy of the agreement anyway when they write back.;)
In regards of mis selling, check the information on the link below, its a checklist:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
for example, the ppi may have been added without your knowledge,
you may have been pressurised to take this out etc, check the information on the link above for more information.
PPI should be optional. The one and only "Dizzy Di"
