PCN parking ticket

I just got a ticket on my window from my local council, shall i just pay the fine or is it worth appealing, it was my own fault because i parked somewhere where you shouldn’t park
this is where i parked in red (its a marked yellow box)

Unfortunately its pay up. IIRC Excess charge notices are under different regs to PCN's and if are a magistrate court thing. Parking on those hatched lines would be a slam dunk to them, then you would have extra charges to pay.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
