They weren't told they couldn't post..... I think someone asked if it would be preferred if they didn't post, as they had already won one. But most of us replied that it wouldn't be the same on here without their posts!

I have a load of pulls to enter but have not bothered... lost heart with this comp and it was getting SO depressing getting all those LEMs!

Perhaps I'll muster up the strength for another go at the weekend.

Okay, first of all NOBODY was told not to post on this thread about their wins. There are NO rules about who can and can't post - and to imply otherwise is deliberately misleading.

It was merely suggested that people use their common sense and a little bit of tact and diplomacy when posting.

If you haven't posted on this thread before, then there would appear to be no reason to pop on merely in order to shout "Yay! That's ANOTHER win" - when there is a specific, dedicated Pepsi winners thread on the IWIWIW section, where the wins could be reported just as easily.

I HAVE won a phone and yet I still find it rather distasteful that anyone would wish to post on this thread simply in order to gloat about the number of phones they have won.

It is a matter of sensibilities and courtesy - these rules are unwritten and should be commonplace in society without needing to explain or justify them.

But then these people may well become regular posters... or people may read your comment and be put off from posting at all (and, yep, it's a bit annoying that some people have won loads of phones and I haven't won any but I'm still glad to hear it's possible to win).
