I'll have a look at stuff like that when I'm feeling clever, I was stuck in the dark ages with my old phone, no pictures, polyphonic ring tones, no internet, no music , this new fangled one has me beat right now lol

Yes you can use images on your contacts and have up to 4 contacts pics on the main 'phone page as shortcuts.
Don't know about different ring tones but you can set it up to "say" who is calling.
e.g. 'phone rings but will also say "Joe Bloggs calling" which is very useful.

The old phone my niece had given me is a Motorola Razor or something like that. I have a picture in my contacts for each of the contacts and could edit music on my computer to about 30 seconds and then send it to the phone to put on as a ringtone for individuals.

I have a contact on my phone I don't like but he has to be there, I've been very tempted to give him "What's That Coming over the Hill? Is It A Monster?"

As you say Jake the new Nokia should be able to do it its just finding out how.
