I've heard of this before using Diet Coke. It's supposed to make a really nice BBQ style sauce for the chicken. Haven't tried it though.

Well, I suppose that would be a way to get rid of one can - what about the thousannds more I have??! :rotfl:

I've tried pork and cola, it's one of those things that sounds so disgusting you have to give it a go! It does work though, very nice. As for the rest of the cans.. perhaps you should give it a go anyway but invite some people round :D and by people I mean.. Suffolk

One of my favourite recipes is Nigella Lawson's Ham Cooked in Coke - absolutely delish. (Click HERE for recipe). Guess Pepsi can be used instead of Coke, unfortunately Nigella specifies (in her book) that it needs to be the full sugar stuff, and unfortunately I've only bought Diet and Max cans so I'll just have drink the darn stuff :D

I managed to bend one up (a ringpull, that is) but don't seem to have got the hang of it yet - have 2 cans I unintentionally opened now so I've decided I should probably retire for the day :o

Cooking ,cleaning the loo as well and any other ideas appreciated :rotfl:

    INGREDIENTS

    • 235 ml ketchup
    • 235 ml cola-flavored carbonated beverage
    • 25 g brown sugar
    • 8 pork chops
    • salt and pepper to taste

    DIRECTIONS

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
    2. Mix together the ketchup, cola and brown sugar.
    3. Place pork chops into a baking pan and pour cola mixture over, coating well. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    4. Bake for about one hour depending on the thickness of the pork chop.
I seem to remember using onions when I did it before but this sounds like something even I could do (and I'm a student.)

I dunno what you drink with it. :p

Thanks Katie, I've been really lucky with postcard comps this month, so I'll have a go that way too.
How do you go about sending them in. Also can you write more than 1 or is it only 1 per envelope, cheers.
May send a dozen through, it may be a bit cheaper than buying coke, also as i dont drink it much:D
