PriorityClub Rewards Visa

Hi,

Any advise or things to try would be appreciated

I use this card quite a bit for Expenses ( I have a Amex card which i also use for expenses) but both get paid of every month always..

Last month I had a balance of 4000 so I found out that with this card you can only make a max payment of 3000 and then a payment of 1000 the next day ..but this then blocks you from making a payment for 30 days

You can only make 2 payments in a 30 day period..

So last month was fine ..but this month I had a large balance so I paid 3000 then tried to pay the remaining balance but as my last payment was still within 30 days it meant that when I tried on 9th ( payment due date was 11th) ..the website would not allow me to make a payment...tried ringing and they would not accept the payment (outstanding was £22.28)..

so using the halifax i made a 2 hour payment for the value which according to halifax hit their bank within 2 hours ( and from what I can see ..yep it did )

However the CC lost the payment (although they say that they will only apply that after 4 days) ...

So still arguing with them as they charged me £60 of interest ....for refusing me to make a payment..

They have found the payment and applied it to the 8th June and have applied an interest credit of 0.10p ....

Have raised another complaint as this I feel is bit unfair when i did everything i could to pay...

Anyone have any prior experience ....or should this credit card (barclays) be avoided and the current card cut up (although my company is a consultancy company and a large number of people have this card for the holiday inn points)..

Regards

Ray

If the card gets paid off in full every month always, why not set up a direct debit for the full payment?

I presume they want to pay it off when they get their expenses.
  • Hi Dazza.MK

Because I like knowing what date these things need to paid by and how much needs paying. Means if I need to move money around to pay the bill then I can do that at the same time...so it's a control thing..

This has never been an issue before, and so never needed to pay the full amount via DD..and Amex do not have these limitiations (which is why i am using Amex more and trying to keep the visa card below 3k)

    Hi Lisyloo

Yep I get expenses paid twice a month ( as long as i make sure i get them in) ..so sometimes I need to move money out of savings into current account or play arround with finances to make sure the cards get paid until I get the expenses back ..

The 2 months that this happened was not an issue cos I had plenty of cash to cover the payment...
