I got a letter today about my switch that would be done on the 26th june and that my direct debit would be.. get ready £500+ a month and that the direct debit was all ready to go.
if i had not checked they would have tried to take iit. the lady told me that this is a issue with switching.
just a warning to people.
anyone else had this?

Hi DelBoyPhil,
Firstly, I’m sorry this has happened, glad you spotted it early. :j
Did the lady you speak to say this was a known issue that was affecting many customers? This is a new one on me so a little more information would be useful for my benefit!
Usually when first Direct Debit amounts that are claimed are the wrong amount, it is the result of entering the wrong details into a switch site, or the quote facility not functioning correctly.
I’m intrigued, sorry I’ve nothing useful to say!

Is it really. I switch around regularly, usage is low, previous switch to EON I was put on its then minimum monthly DD new customer rate of 40.00 ( My usage is less than that even in winter, I accepted the minimum as I was switching for the Cashback incentive) I always state my usage consistently, just had letter relating to this switch in stating EON will be collecting 150.00 a month which would appear to be some form of National average figure.
Im already lined up to switch back out, so ill merely cancel the DD. :cool:0
