Hello all
I wrote to HSBC on 26 January 2009 requesting a comprehensive list of charges, and enclosing the required fee. I then received a letter asking me to prove who I was (as we had moved house) by presenting my passport and utility bill etc to the local branch. This done I eventually received a list of charges from HSBC in late April 2009.
I then wrote to HSBC on 5th May 2009 requesting they refund the £3240 bank cahrges plus interest, a total of £4561.55. I then received on 21 May 2009 another letter asking me to verify myself. This was an identical letter to the original verification letter. I wrote back pointing out that I had already verified myself, and why had they not responded to my letter dated 5th May. I then gave them 14 days to respond.
Up until now, they have not responded. What next ?
Do I try for a CCJ against HSBC ?
Help please !

You can issue a claim at court. It will be stayed until the outcome of the OFT test case, but it will ensure that you can claim s69 8% interest.Farmer_jones wrote: »

If you are in Finacial Hardship, with priority debt arrears, (rent, mortgage, utilities, council tax), you can ask the bank to review your claim. Otherwise it's a matter of waiting.0
